Jakarta, as the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia, is governed by Law Number 29 of 2007 concerning the Administration of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. It possesses its own unique characteristics compared to other provinces. The complexity of Jakarta is closely related to its status as the center of government, limited geographical area, and high population density.
The current multidimensional crisis has implications for the vulnerable social conditions of Jakarta's society, which are prone to social unrest characterized by violence. As a result, people tend to seek shortcuts in resolving various problems they face. Social conditions often lead to violations beyond the existing legal framework, whether committed by individuals or community groups. Therefore, efforts to address these issues require well-planned institutional methods of intervention.
The DKI Jakarta Province, as an autonomous region, is not only confronted with social problems within Jakarta but also faces numerous national-scale issues perpetrated by elites, individuals, groups, or factions that undoubtedly influence the dynamics of Jakarta's community life. Hence, facilitation is needed to achieve harmony in realizing the unity of Jakarta's society.
